Dear Members,

Notice is hereby given that  the 2009 Annual General Meeting of the Australian Public Access Network Association Inc. will be held on:
 
1:00pm, Saturday August 29
Brecknock Hotel
401 King William Street
Adelaide S.A.

Pre and post meeting activities:

  • 7pm Friday 28th - SA Region regular social meeting - almost any topic other than "APANA" gets discussed!
  • 12.00pm Saturday 29th - lunch at the Brecknock, preceding the AGM
  • 2.30-5pm Saturday (after the AGM) - travel via tram to historic Glenelg, for sightseeing, shopping, bars and cafes
  • 6pm Saturday - return by tram for dinner at the "Raj on Taj" Indian restaurant (Shop 12 (13-23) Unley Rd)
  • 9am Sunday - guided walking tour of Port Adelaide or a cemetery tour !

Directions:

Brecknock Hotel
Once in the Adelaide CBD, follow King William Street (the main street, with tram lines) south. The Brecknock is on the right, on the corner of Gilbert St, about 500m past Victoria Square. See http://www.whereis.com/SA/Adelaide/401-King-William-St/

Raj On Taj
If returning from Glenelg, leave the tram at the South Terrace stop, and walk about 5 minutes east to Unley Road, then approx 200m south, the restaurant will be on the left. See http://www.whereis.com/SA/Parkside/13-23-Unley-Rd/

Sunday tour
A guided tour of the West Terrace Cemetery, which dates back to the foundation of South Australia and is one of the last original capital city cemeteries in Australia still operating. It is renowned for its ornate monuments, historic burial sites of early settlers and some of the only remaining indigenous vegetation of the Adelaide Plains.  See  http://www.aca.sa.gov.au/west-terrace-cemetery/index.php  Directions: from the CBD, head east on Currie St, turn left onto Light Sq at Adelaide Institute Of Tafe, follow around into Morphett St, then right onto Sturt St. The cemetery gate (with parking inside) is on the opposite side of West Terrace where Sturt St meets. Tour will run from 10.30-12.00

All members and guests are eligible to attend. Voting is restricted to APANA Members only. Call for nominations will be issued separately.
